¢-$, Pan-Asian, Capitol Hill
Fodor's Review:
It's so easy to walk right past this place -- if you don't take the time to read the awning carefully, you'd assume it was fronting a dusty copy shop or a particularly depressing dance studio. But this simple, family-run spot is much beloved of residents and folks who work in the neighborhood for providing Capitol Hill with cheap and consistently delicious Pan-Asian staples. Ballet is particularly strong on Vietnamese standards -- try the pho -- but the menu ranges from Thai to Chinese to Japanese. There are many vegetarian and vegan options, too, made with all manner of fake meats. If the decor doesn't do it for you, get your order to go and head to Cal Anderson Park a few blocks north.
