$, Cuban, Fremont
Fodor's Review:
The centerpiece of Lorenzo Lorenzo's slim Cuban-influenced menu is the mouthwatering Midnight Cuban sandwich. The marinated pork sandwich, topped with sautéed onions and served on a chewy baguette, is doused with an amazing sauce (the ingredients of which are known only by Lorenzo) that keeps folks coming back for more. The entrées are also delicious, from scallops with cilantro to prawns in a spicy red sauce. This place is so small, it's more like a glorified lunch truck than a sit-down eatery. There are a few tables, but don't count on getting a seat -- Paseo gets so busy the line usually snakes way out the door, and most people opt for takeout.
