Fodor's Review:
Stunning architecture, well-trimmed grounds, and a state-of-the-art sports center create a blend of unbeatable benefits at this boutique accommodation, which is part of an exclusive club. Inside, warm earth tones and clever lighting create the illusion of sunlight even when the rainy Northwest weather arrives, and original oil paintings by local artist Mark Rediske brighten the rooms. Guest quarters have plush armchairs, cherry furnishings, and Turkish area rugs; bathrooms have limestone tiles and some have deep-soak tubs. Deluxe rooms aren't terribly exciting; upgrading is a good move here. Premium rooms have a fireplace and balcony; first-floor Club rooms have 20-foot ceilings, a CD player, and a pretty terra-cotta patio set amid landscaped gardens. The best perk, however, is access to the adjacent athletic club, with its myriad ultramodern sports facilities. Unfortunately, many guests have complained about rude and disorganized service here, so be prepared for hassles -- hopefully, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

What the heck are these other people talking about?

I am a frequent traveler and a pretty sophisticated person. Frankly, I cannot figure out what the heck these other folks are talking about -- this is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in, and the service is superb. I'm here right now, and want to move in (heh).What service?????

No service to speak of, staff is not helpful. Rooms need updating. Way better hotels in downtown Seattle where there is some life. This place shuts down after 8pm! Even the bar on a Saturday night closes at 9:30??? Go downtown where you can find hotels who care about you!
