¢-$$, Capitol Hill
Fodor's Review:
Rooms here range from a crow's nest with peeled-log furniture and Navajo-print fabrics to suites with gas fireplaces and antique carved beds. The large common areas evoke a gentlemen's club, with oak wainscoting, high ceilings, and hunter-green carpet. One owner's past career as a professional painter is evident in the impeccable custom-mixed finishes throughout the inn. The Gaslight is more contemporary than many of its competitors and free of the cluttered feeling that most B&Bs have. That's not to say that it doesn't have any decoration -- exquisite artwork on display ranges from glass art to ceramic sculptures to mixed-media pieces. There's room to move around in here, including a lovely backyard, and the Gaslight has something no other B&B can claim: a heated pool.
