This favorite lunch spot of the white-collar crowd is not for timid eaters: custom-aged mesquite-broiled steaks -- arguably the best in Seattle -- are huge and come with baked potatoes or pasta. Even the veal chop is extra thick. Lamb, chicken, and seafood entrées are also on the menu. The Met's take on a steak house is either "classic" or a caricature, depending on how you take to the cigar-and-cognac vibe: waiters wear tuxes, fixtures are made of brass and the bar is made of black marble, and the crowd is comprised of Seattle's relatively small population of movers and shakers.

We loved the Motropolitan Grill. The food is delicious(but, expensive!. Petite cut prime rib $42.00. My husband disagrees that it is too costly!)
Be sure to ask for a quiet table, because the main part of the restaurant is so noisy that you could hardly hear. We did get a nice table in the back where we could have great converstation.
The wine sommeiller made a great suggestion to match our meal (and it wasn't priced badly!)
Be sure to make reservations or you won't get in!!!
Also, remember that everyone in Seattle eats early! Enjoy!
