¢-$, American, Eastlake
Fodor's Review:
This popular breakfast and lunch place has changed owners several times in the last two decades, yet somehow the restaurant stays the same. Only the cinnamon rolls are not as good as they used to be. But specials such as biscuits in gravy and the pancakes du jour still sell like hotcakes. The egg dishes are consistently good, and the Tahitian French toast, made with tahini, is as popular as ever. Don't get upset about the crowd packing the place on weekends: most live within walking distance, and this is their neighborhood café.
