Collectors Café

$$$$, Contemporary, Myrtle Beach

User Rating: ***** 4.8

Fodor's Review:

A successful restaurant, art gallery, and coffeehouse rolled into one, this unpretentiously arty spot has bright, funky paintings and tile work covering its walls and tabletops. The cuisine is among the most inventive in the area. Try the grilled tuna with Indian spices, served with Cuban black-bean sauce and mango salsa -- it's a far cry from standard Myrtle Beach fish-house fare.

Heaven on a plate

Posted by John from Knightdale, NC on 6/16/06

Cannot recommend a restaurant more highly than Collector's Cafe. The talented chef prepares about 10 - 12 entries, and almost all are memorable. But one stands out above all the rest -- the scallop cakes. If there is a last meal to be had in this life, it's the scallop cakes from Collector's cafe. This is not your typical Myrtle Beach restaurant by a long shot -- funky and fun artwork on the wall, and an atmosphere I would call casual sophistication. You will not be disappointed in anyway with this dining experience.
