On Carolina Safari Jeep Tours you'll visit everything from a plantation house to an alligator-laden salt marsh to an 18th-century church. Along the way you'll learn fun facts and scary ghost stories, told from a script that keeps even history-phobes entertained. The 3 1/2-hour tour, which includes some walking, provides a surprisingly complete overview of the region and beautiful views of the Grand Strand's varied ecosystem. Call to make a reservation; you'll be picked up at your hotel in a Jeep that seats about a dozen people.

All excellent ratings for the experience. Like another review said, this is surprisingly complete. Who knew all this existed right near Myrtle Beach? My family certainly did not. We just wanted to look around Myrtle Beach and get away a bit --what we saw was fantastic and so is this tour. The value is excellent for a personally guided tour from qualified, fun loving guides.
We were fascinated with the beautiful birds, especially the Ibis and the allligators. My kids loved the trip to the haunted graveyard with graves going back to the 1700s. We heard ghost stories and ghost lore galore, even about a Gray man who warns of hurricanes. Learned about the African Gullah culture (and how to spell it) which was enlightening and about all the cultural influences in this area from Spanish to French Hugenots, Scots, wow this place is amazing. Saw a salt marsh right next to a fresh water system with gators and learned about the salt marsh and its inhabitants. But the learning was effortless, fun and exciting. We totally enjoyed the jeep, it has a roof cover in the summer and open sides so it was fun.
You should bring a camera like the reservations dept. told us because there are great photos ops.
I have a new respect for Myrtle Beach and such a top flight tour as the Carolina Safari Jeep Tours.
