$$-$$$$, Beaufort
Fodor's Review:
This peach-color 1890s Victorian inn, dating from the 1890s, charms you with its gables and wrap-around porches. Inside there's an acclaimed restaurant ($$$-$$$$) with dining on a screened porch or in two mahogany-panel dining rooms. The cuisine is a successful ménage à trois of Southern, continental, and contemporary fare. Pine-floor guest rooms have period reproductions, striped wallpaper, and comfy chairs. Several have fireplaces and four-poster beds.
