On Carolina Safari Jeep Tours you'll visit everything from a plantation house to an alligator-laden salt marsh to an 18th-century church. Along the way you'll learn fun facts and scary ghost stories, told from a script that keeps even history-phobes entertained. The 3 1/2-hour tour, which includes some walking, provides a surprisingly complete overview of the region and beautiful views of the Grand Strand's varied ecosystem. Call to make a reservation; you'll be picked up at your hotel in a Jeep that seats about a dozen people.
