The hippest eatery in Beaufort wins over epicureans with its cool design (subdued lighting, mod booths, dark-wood bar), waterfront patio, and nouveau Southern menu. A flawless meal might start off with the velvety crab bisque, then segue to the flounder stuffed with local shrimp and blue crab and topped with fried capers and crumbled bacon. The wine list is admirable, and the staff is adept at pairings. Desserts change nightly; the pineapple upside-down cake can be the perfect end to your meal.
