Fodor's Review:
The "naked" catch of the day -- seafood grilled with olive oil, lime, and garlic -- stands out here; it's a welcome change from the fried fare at many other local spots. Caribbean and Cuban flavors pervade the rest of the menu in dishes such as red trout with Boursin-cheese grits; tasso (a spicy cured ham) in a cream sauce spiked with amaretto, Tabasco, and Worcestershire; and Dominican braised pork, roasted with bananas, chilis, and coconut. Its wine cellar is full with some 1,000 bottles and there's a retail wineshop. Although its commercial strip location isn't inspired, the lively crowd sitting amid candlelight, subdued artwork, dark furniture, and white linens more than makes up for this typical island shortcoming. However, some locals have signed off this place, saying the food and service is not worth the elevated prices.

terrible service; salad with fiber --- wood!

4 ladies had dinner here; very noisy, but had previously had good food. My salad came with a chunk of wood in it. I couldn't get our waitress to come to the table but a hostess did; eventually a manager (I assume) came and replaced the salad with another. No effort made to comp anything and not much of an apology for the foreign object in the salad. Our server was most difficult to try to flag down --- huge mistake on her part as 2 of us have children who have been servers and we tip well! I won't go back.
