Villa Romana

$-$$$, Italian, Myrtle Beach

Fodor's Review:

It's all about family at Villa Romana, where owners Rinaldo and Franca come in early to make the gnocchi and stick around to greet customers. It's hard to resist filling up on the stracciatella soup, bruschetta, salad, and rolls (perhaps the best on the Strand) that accompany every meal, but try. The gnocchi is a perfect foil for any of the homemade sauces, and the veal Absolut (sautéed veal in a sauce of cream, mushrooms, and vodka) is a specialty. Michael the accordian player can entertain diners with songs that range from "Mack the Knife" to "Stairway to Heaven."
