$$$-$$$$, Southern, Market Area
Fodor's Review:
Nearly a dozen windows afford views of passing horse-drawn carriages from this restaurant. The softly lighted, gilt-trim dining room is extremely romantic. Southern specialties are favored, like shrimp and grits (served as an appetizer) and oysters fried in cornmeal (on the bar menu). The she-crab soup is some of the best around. The chef takes liberty with Lowcountry classics, like the crispy flounder in apricot sauce and the roasted red snapper with succotash and shrimp.
