Charles Pinckney National Historic Site

Historic Districts / Sites, Mount Pleasant

Fodor's Review:

Across the street from Boone Hall Plantation, this is a remnant of the country estate of Charles Pinckney, drafter and signer of the Constitution. A self-guided tour focuses on African-American farm life, including the plantation owner-slave relationship. You can also tour an 1820s tidewater cottage.
