Fodor's Review:

Doormen clad in elegant vests and riding boots welcome you at this small, elegant boutique hotel. The rooms, done up in traditional hunter green or contemporary black and tan, are furnished with marble-top bureaus, Louis XV-style writing desks, and full-wall mirrors; bathrooms have marble showers. This is a great location for the itinerant shopper -- rooms overlooking Walnut Street have the best view of the colorful shopping district.

All depends on the rate. A little worn but okay.

We had a good rate for our quick stop over in Philly. Latham is a little worn but clean and comfortable. Quiet. Good location. Ask for a room with a baywindow on high floor. Not my first choice, I prefer the Courtyard Marriott, but could not beat the $120 rate versus the other hotels in the area.
