Chef Maria Forte turns out plenty of Italian classics, including heavenly homemade gnocchi plus fanciful dishes such as Maria's Dream Soup (a mix of pork, chicken, and seafood with pasta), a true delight. A cream cake makes a delectable finish. Cucina Forte serves lunch by appointment only.

Cucina Forte was an exceptional experience. With the charm of the South Philly neighborhood, a beautiful woman sitting across from me, and food that was outstanding, Cucina Forte was a great evening out. My girlfriend ordered the Tricolore salad with goat cheese and seafood special that was excellent, I ordered the gnocchi and Involtini Di Vietello (rolled veal in spinach and provolone.) The service was outstanding (Vinnie was great). Very memorable evening - I fell in love with my girlfriend again, decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and made sure we would come back many times to our favorite restaurant in South Philly.RATING: 4.4
