Fodor's Review:
Philadelphia's children's museum, one of the country's best, is designed for youngsters ages one to seven. Highlights include Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a 2,300-square-foot re-creation of Wonderland that encourages children to develop problem-solving and literacy skills; Sendak, an interactive exhibit of oversize settings and creatures from books by celebrated author-illustrator Maurice Sendak; and SuperMarket Science, with large shopping and kitchen play settings and a lab where science- and math-related demonstrations are held. The museum also has a child-size television studio, an exhibit on transportation, a farm-theme area for toddlers, and interactive theater shows. At this writing the museum is scheduled to move to Fairmount Park in late 2008.
