Fodor's Review:
Childhood home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker, this uptown neighborhood is close to the University of Cincinnati and "Pill Hill," the city's hospital district. UC's MainStreet project has disposed of a quirky jumble of fading restaurants and student-oriented businesses along Calhoun to create a more campus-centric collection of university-approved restaurants and student housing in the form of modern, clean-lined brick buildings. Clifton's Ludlow Avenue, just north of campus, is home to the independent Esquire Theater and a number of bars and restaurants, many serving international foods.
