Cincinnatian Hotel

$$-$$$, Downtown

User Rating: *** 3.2

Fodor's Review:

A sedate 1882 French Second Empire-style hotel, the Cincinnatian offers contemporary elegance along with gracious personal service. The marble-and-walnut staircase is original, and ornate furniture and fine linens fill the spacious rooms. You can have afternoon tea or dine in the Palace Restaurant. It's not the largest hotel in Cincinnati, but it is the best.

Needs Attention

Posted by Dan from Pittsburgh, PA on 1/20/06

Very friendly staff and good tradition does not make up for the fact that this hotel needs attantion. Broken fixtures, torn wallpaper, terrible water pressure (and very little hot water) and bleak late-night room-service options indicate either a lack of concern or awareness. Whichever the case, I hope somebody steps in and saves this classic soon.
