Zoos / Aquariums, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
Fodor's Review:
This is as big a gamble as there is in Las Vegas. Nine times out of 10 when you walk through the see-through tunnel, you'll see the big cats snoozing above and below. But the habitat has acquired some younger, friskier kitties. The enclosure itself was designed to replicate the lions' natural habitat as closely as possible and has stone, trees and foliage, four waterfalls, and a pond. The lions don't actually live in Vegas. They're trucked in from animal trainer Keith Evans' 8 1/2-acre ranch outside of town.
