$$-$$$$, Steak, South Strip
Fodor's Review:
The legendary New York restaurant has been replicated on the Strip, where it's a Las Vegas oddity: a stand-alone restaurant. With hardwood floors and no plush surfaces to soak up the ricocheting sound, it's a raucous place, but that's part of the fun. For steak, try the big Brooklyn porterhouse for two or the "Old Butcher Style" filet mignon. Other specialties include Maryland crab cakes, classic Dover sole, mustard-crusted tuna, lamb chops, and the famed crackling pork shank with firecracker applesauce. Wollensky's Grill, a lively, more casual gathering spot that's open well past midnight, serves the same menu, as well as sandwiches and pizzas.
