$-$$$, Chinese, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Even as the number of high-profile Chinese restaurants has increased dramatically on the Strip, this longtime Downtown institution (formerly known as Lillie Langtry's) continues to draw crowds with its excellent, reasonably priced food. In an effort to stay current, the dining room was remade in contemporary style in 2006. The Cantonese dishes include old familiars such as moo goo gai pan and moo shu pork, plus spicier choices such as Szechuan shrimp. The black-pepper steak is a must for charcoal aficionados, and the lemon chicken is a classic. But if you'd rather, you can always go with a 22-ounce porterhouse or a 28-ounce rib eye. Don't miss the dragon-eye fruit for dessert. It's open until midnight on weekdays, and an hour later on weekends.
