Blue Man Group.

Theater, Venetian Hotel and Casino

Fodor's Review:

The men in blue celebrated their success on the Strip by moving from the Luxor to a new, customized theater at the Venetian in fall 2005. Although it's still essentially the same show, the 1,800-seat auditorium pulls more of the audience closer to the action; in fact, the stage design is part of the action. The first half of the program still defines the troupe's quirky comic aesthetic: three silent characters in utilitarian uniforms, their heads bald and gleaming from cobalt blue greasepaint, prowl the stage committing twisted "science projects" that are alternately highbrow and juvenile. The early antics deliberately leave much of the new stage in the dark, until it comes time to reveal gorgeous high-resolution video effects and the towering set with lighting designs by Pink Floyd tour collaborator Marc Brickman. And it's all scored to a live rock band with percussion instruments made from PVC pipe.
