Rumjungle

$-$$$, Caribbean, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino

User Rating: ***** 4.5

Fodor's Review:

This Mandalay Bay establishment is so hugely popular as a dance club that some locals are surprised to learn it even serves food in the evening hours. That's not exactly how it was intended. The intensely themed interior -- all waterfalls and fiery displays -- was designed with the Brazilian rodizio (fire pit) in mind; a popular choice is the prix-fixe dinner of pork, lamb, chicken, fish, and vegetables served on skewers. Individual entrées include many Caribbean-theme dishes, such as Cuban sandwiches, garlic-lime chicken, and oven-roasted lobster with curried mashed potatoes.

Go Friday or Saturday for the Trapeze Artists

Posted by Golnarsarge from Orange County, CA on 3/7/07

Yes, drinks are expensive, but they are also big and strong (try the Rum Jungle Juice). Definitely stay for the club, but do so on Friday or Saturday because a large part of the fun is the dancing ladies in neon which every half hour or so do an elaborate trapeze show above your head, and these are the only two nights this attraction is offered.

Rumjungle rocks!

First, their decor is unusual. Loved it! The food was fabulous. I had their pulled pork sandwich on the first day for lunch and I've been thinking about it for the rest of the trip. Will definitely go back on my next trip!!! Yum!
