Faust's

$$$$, Continental, Downtown

User Rating: ***** 5.0

Fodor's Review:

Baroque mirrors, candles, and white tablecloths grace this elegant Downtown dining room in the Adam's Mark Hotel. Specialties include the pecan-crusted Colorado lamb with wild rice pancakes and a bourbon-rosemary glaze; pineapple rum duck, twice-roasted Peking-style; and the classic Chateaubriand.

A Feast at Faust's

Posted by Thomas from Tacoma, Washington, USA on 12/18/05

Having eaten at fine restaurants all over the world, it was a pleasure to find an American restaurant that is on a par with any of them. Competent, genuinely friendly servers who don't feel compelled to say "My name is Sylvester, and your serve person tonight will be Ms Cherise Smith."Tenderloin of elk beautifully cooked over a wood fire; so good that I returned the next night for the same meal. The dining room is embellished with timbers from the old Fulton Fish Market, its windows looking directly out at the St. Louis Arch.
