Owners Alan and Gretchen Champney serve authentic French food in this unassuming gray-shingle house with a loyal following among foodies in the know. Look for traditional and contemporary selections such as butter-poached lobster with a saffron-vanilla sauce, Moroccan braised lamb with preserved lemon and mint, and sun-dried-tomato-crusted halibut with a lemon, roasted garlic, and sage sauce and wilted spinach. Desserts here are a particular delight, especially the light and not-too-sweet tarte tatin. There's also a superb wine list.
