$$$-$$$$, Mediterranean, Provincetown
Fodor's Review:
Front Street is very good and quite romantic, if not as revered by locals as it used to be (in part because several noteworthy competitors have opened in recent years). Here classic Italian cooking is linked to offerings from Greece, southern France, and even North Africa. There's a nightly char-grilled fish special: match salmon, halibut, or tuna with a Latin, Berber, or Cajun spice rub; lemon-caper butter; or a ginger-soy-wasabi glaze. Other stellar dishes include sage-and-butternut risotto with crisped baby spinach, and truffled wild-mushroom bisque. The wine list is also a winner. Finish things off with coffee-toffee pie.
