$$$-$$$$, Eastham
Fodor's Review:
This 1830 whaling master's home is on 3-landscaped acres. Wide-board pine floors, fireplaces, and 19th-century country antiques provide historical appeal. Rooms in the main inn have four-poster twin, double, or queen-size beds; floral fabrics; and antique or reproduction furniture. Suites with fully equipped kitchens are in the converted barn and guesthouse. A secluded saltbox cottage has a fireplace, kitchen, and private patio. Deluxe rooms in the carriage house have fireplaces, hot tubs, and air-conditioning. The property also has an opulent state-of-the-art spa, complete with a small resistance pool and fitness center. Above the spa is the inn's most sumptuous suite, with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, entertainment center, and two-person hot tub. Breakfast is served in the cheerful sunroom or on the garden patio. Pros: Beautiful grounds, elegantly appointed rooms with added benefit of decadent spa treatments. Cons: No water views or beachfront, not an in-town location.
