$$$-$$$$, Chatham
Fodor's Review:
Innkeepers Paula and Tim Miller have brought a sense of fresh, beach-resort elegance to this aged inn just outside of Chatham's town center. Rooms throughout the inn are a blend of contemporary with a distinct Cape Cod feel; walls are painted in soothing hues of cream, soft blues, and greens and each is blessedly uncluttered with unnecessary frills. The former stables contain three larger and more secluded rooms with high-pitched ceilings, fireplaces, and French or sliding-glass doors leading to private outdoor areas. Paula brings her extensive spa experience to the mix; guests can indulge in an array of luxury treatments in the privacy of one's room. Each morning a delicious full breakfast begins the day, which might include Tim's special blueberry baked French toast. The beach is a mile away. Pros: Beautifully appointed, spacious rooms, added decadence of in-house spa services, ample and well-maintained grounds, romantic and intimate setting. Cons: Near a busy intersection though not very loud, long walk to town, no water views or beachfront.
