Fodor's Review:
Housed in an 1877 former bank in the historic district, Freestone's serves soups and chowders, sandwiches and salads, plus scrod casino (topped with seafood stuffing and bacon bits), Asian-veggie stir-fry, and broiled flat-iron steak with Jack Daniel's sauce. Traditional details -- mahogany paneling, marble floors, and brass rails -- blend with contemporary art. No reservations are taken, but you can call ahead to get on a waiting list for busy nights.
