Olreans

The Orleans Cardinals (508/255-0793. www.orleanscardinals.com) of the collegiate Cape Cod Baseball League play home games at Eldredge Park (Rte. 28) from mid-June to mid-August.

Chatham

The Cape Cod Baseball League, begun in 1885, is an invitational league of college players that counts Carlton Fisk, Ron Darling, Mo Vaughn, Nomar Garciaparra, and the late Thurman Munson as alumni. Considered the country's best summer league, it's scouted by every major-league team. The 10 teams of the Cape Cod Baseball League play a 44-game season from mid-June to mid-August; games held at all 10 fields are free. The Chatham A's (Veterans' Field, Main and Depot Sts. by rotary. 508/996-5004. www.chathamas.com) games are great entertainment.

Baseball clinics (Veterans' Field, Main and Depot Sts. by rotary. 508/432-6909) -- for kids 6 through 8, 9 through 12, and 13 through 17 -- are offered in one-week sessions by the Chatham A's in summer. The other nine town teams in the Cape league also conduct clinics (508/996-5004 information).

Harwich

The Harwich Mariners (Harwich High School, Oak St. 508/432-2000. www.harwichmariners.org) of the collegiate Cape Cod Baseball League play home games at Whitehouse Field from mid-June through mid-August.

Brewster

The Brewster Whitecaps (508/385-5073. www.brewsterwhitecaps.com) of the collegiate Cape Cod Baseball League play home games at Cape Cod Regional Tech High School (Rte. 124, Harwich) from mid-June to mid-August.

Yarmouth

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the collegiate Cape Cod Baseball League play home games at Red Wilson Field (Station Ave., South Yarmouth. 508/394-9387. www.ydredsox.org) from mid-June to mid-August.

Barnstable

The Cotuit Kettleers of the collegiate Cape Cod Baseball League play home games at Lowell Park (Lowell St., 2 mi south of Rte. 28, Cotuit. 508/428-3358. www.kettleers.org) from mid-June to mid-August.
