Fodor's Review:
Inside an inviting 1860s white house in Brewster's historical village center, this romantic property presents well-crafted, globally inspired contemporary fare in five dining rooms with floral wallpaper or wood-paneled walls, hung with gilt-framed mirrors and watercolor and oil paintings (much of the artwork is for sale). During the warmer months, dine on a patio amid fragrant flower beds. The four-course prix-fixe menu changes often and has included such memorable treats as black-bean blini topped with smoked salmon and salmon caviar, and grilled lamb stacked over pinto bean puree and a Guadalajaran-inspired rose-petal mole sauce. Sunday through Thursday you can also order à la carte from a lighter bistro menu, which is served in the bar as well as on one of the garden patios. There are also a few attractive overnight rooms.
