Harbor Express ferries, City Water Taxi, and Rowes Wharf Water Taxi shuttle passengers between the World Trade Center, Logan Airport, Long Wharf, North End/Burroughs Wharf, North Station/Fleet Center, Residence Inn/Marriott, Charlestown Navy Yard, Chelsea's Admiral's Hill, Black Falcon Terminal, and other destinations around the harbor. One-way fares are $10. The service operates from 7 AM to 10 PM.

MBTA commuter boat service operates weekdays between several downtown harbor destinations and quite a few locations on the South Shore. One-way fares range from $1.50 to $6. Schedules change seasonally, so call ahead.

Several boat companies make runs between the airport and downtown destinations. Take the free Shuttle Bus 66 from any terminal to the airport's ferry dock to catch Boston's water taxis.

City Water Taxi (617/422-0392. www.citywatertaxi.com) has an on-call boat service between the airport and 16 downtown locations that operates from 7 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday and 7 AM to 8 PM on Sunday from April through November. One-way fares to or from the airport are $10, and round-trip tickets are $17.

Harbor Express water-taxi service (617/222-6999. www.harborexpress.com) takes passengers from Logan Airport to Long Wharf in Downtown ($10) and to Quincy and Hull on the South Shore ($12). Boats leave approximately every 40-45 minutes 6:20 AM-10:20 PM Monday through Thursday, 6:20 AM-11 PM Friday, 8:30 AM-10:30 PM Saturday, and 8:30 AM-9 PM Sunday.

The Rowes Wharf Water Taxi (617/406-8584. www.roweswharfwatertaxi.com) offers a stunning glimpse of the city's skyline as it makes seven-minute trips across Boston Harbor between Logan Airport and Rowes Wharf downtown. It operates year-round, Monday through Friday, daily between 7 AM and 7 PM. It also runs on weekends, June through September, and on major holidays.
