Hostelling International Boston

¢-$, Kenmore Square

Fodor's Review:

This low-cost option near the Museum of Fine Arts is ideal if you don't mind sharing one of the six-person dormitories. (Private rooms are available for a higher price.) Bright purple paint enlivens the rather drab decor. Linens are provided, and there's a full kitchen and TV room for guests to use. Discounted tickets are often available to cultural events, and Continental breakfast is included. Run by American Youth Hostels, the lodging does not require membership but does suggest reservations. Travelers under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Pros: Facilities are clean and up-to-date; it's open 24 hours a day; can't beat the price. Cons: You'll feel like you're back in the college dorm; don't expect a lot of privacy; it gets noisy during busy times.
