Chef Barbara Lynch (of No. 9 Park fame) has made yet another fabulous mark on Boston with a style-conscious seafood restaurant that updates New England's traditional bounty with flair. Designed to imitate the inside of an oyster shell, the iridescent bar glows with silvery, candlelit tiles and a sophisticated crowd. They're in for the lobster roll, no doubt -- an expensive proposition at $24, but worth every cent for its decadent chunks of meat in a perfectly textured dressing. If you're sans reservation, be prepared to wait: the line for a seat can be epic.

The $25 lobster salad in the hot dog bun is a joke. We were really put out after making a special effort to find this place based on fodors recommendation to find average food at premium prices in a less than memorable atmosphere.

I followed Fodor's recommendation on price and quality of food. My 8-year-old daughter and I went to the restaurant and were terribly disappointed. She had a BLT, soda, and chocolate cake. I had oyster appetizer (6 oysters), mackerel, and two glasses of white wine. The bill was $118 before the tip. The atmosphere was loud, unsettling, and unappetizing. It's not worth the wait or the money.

phenomenal seafood, great service, wonderful atmosphere+ a reasonable price eat in this gorgeous restaurant that resembles an oyster
