Housatonic River Walk

Fodor's Review:

The Housatonic River Walk is well worth a step off the pavement. You enter through the gate on the left of Brooks Pharmacy (197 Main St.) and take the stairs down to the riverbank, where you can stroll along a short path. The sound of rushing water,a bench to sit and rest, and the natural setting are welcome changes from concrete and traffic noise above, especially on a hot summer day. This is the Berkshire version of the pause that refreshes.
