$-$$, Great Barrington
Fodor's Review:
This building has been doing service as an inn since 1802, when the stagecoach came through. The well-appointed common rooms and bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. As this inn is owned by a chef, breakfast is one of the attractions. Chef Rachel O'Rourke bakes daily hot and savory treats such as chocolate zucchini bread, lemon scones, or pumpkin waffles to accompany a smoked salmon omelet with cavier garnish. The two-bedroom cottage in the rear of the property is perfect for a family or a group of friends traveling together. The inn is only minutes away from Butternut ski area.
