Hotel Allegro Chicago

$$$, The Loop

User Rating: ***** 4.6

Fodor's Review:

The Cadillac Palace Theater is an appropriate neighbor for this music-themed hotel: witness the clefs on the shower curtains, a music room off the lobby, and the High Society-inspired watercolor mural by the lobby stairs at the entrance. While the standard rooms -- lusciously decorated with chocolate browns and grapefruit pinks -- are charming, they're outshined by premium rooms, which have whirlpool tubs, and complimentary bottles of Mr. Bubble. Suites have themes; the surprisingly unkitschy Lion King suite, for example, emits an African wilderness vibe, with wicker furniture and netting hanging over the bed.

Good value with a Euro twist

Very stylish with a Euro flair. For the young and trendy set. One block from the El. Good-sized rooms for the price -- those who complained about room size obviously haven't spent much time in big cities.
