$$$-$$$$, French, West Maui
Fodor's Review:
Since 1975 this tiny roadside restaurant between Lahaina and Maalaea in Olowalu has been serving excellent French cuisine to a packed house of repeat customers. Such dishes as fresh local fish poached in white wine with shallots, cream, and capers typify the classical menu. If you can't resist foie gras, this is the place to have it. The restaurant's offbeat exterior belies the fine art, linen-draped tables, and wine cellar within. Don't blink or you'll miss this small group of buildings huddled in the middle of nowhere.
