Fodor's Review:
This handsome 1924 Craftsman-style house in the heart of Makawao town is a good base for excursions to the crater or to Hana. The owner has furnished it with antiques and fine art, and allows guests to peruse her voluminous library of Hawaii-related books. The house is divided into three single rooms, each prettier than the next, and the South Wing, which sleeps four and includes the kitchen. There's also a separate cottage on the property, which sleeps two to four. All rooms have private claw-foot baths. This inn has a distinct plantation-era feel with squeaky wooden floors and period furnishings to boot.
