¢-$, Hawaiian, Central Maui
Fodor's Review:
Nearly hidden between auto-body shops and karaoke bars is this wonderful, bright café. Affordable, tasty entrées such as grilled tenderloin with wild mushrooms or garlic-crusted ono with ginger relish come with a choice of two sides. The flavorful dishes are healthy, too -- Chef Elaine Rothermal previously instructed island nutritionists on how to prepare health-conscious versions of local favorites. Try the Hawaiian french-fried sweet potatoes, the steamed ulu (breadfruit), or the poi.
