Fodor's Review:
Value and a location right on the beach near to Fort DeRussy are the draw here. Beginning in late 2006 or early 2007, this hotel will serve as the beachfront anchor for the new Waikiki Beach Walk complex. Try to get an ocean view or oceanfront accommodation; the other rooms have less enchanting views of the walls of the Waikiki Shores condominium next door. Most rooms have only showers, and all except those in the standard category have lanai. Kids who sign up for the Reef's Island Explorer program get their own backpack and binoculars at check-in. Hawaii's celebration of culture – Aloha Fridays – finds this hotel brimming with lei makers, entertainers, and artisans.
