It's a bakery, yes, famous for its chocolate haupia pie (layered coconut custard and chocolate pudding topped with whipped cream). But it's also favored by surfers and area residents for quick breakfasts, sandwiches, or plate lunches, to go or eaten on a handful of umbrellaed tables outside.
