Fodor's Review:
A half block from the shore on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, is this older hotel. The Queen "Kap," as she is known by locals, sits right across the street from the zoo, within walking distance of the aquarium, the Waikiki Concert Shell, Kapiolani Park, Kapahulu Pier, and Waikiki Beach. If you're at all a history buff, take a moment to view the historic memorabilia of the Queen and her family -- it's displayed throughout the hotel's public areas. Accommodations here are clean and basic and offer a choice among standard rooms, studios with kitchenettes, and one-bedroom suites, all with private lanai and rates that won't break the budget.
