Downtown Honolulu's only hotel is an 89-unit, all-suite high-rise in the center of the business district, within walking distance of the historic Capitol District, Honolulu's Chinatown, and a 10-minute drive from Honolulu International Airport. Embarking on an inter-island cruise? This hotel is three blocks from Aloha Tower Marketplace and the cruise ship terminal at Pier 10. Accommodations occupying the top 10 floors of a 40-story glass tower afford magnificient views of downtown Honolulu and Honolulu Harbor. Also, the slew of amenities are a boon to those staying for several days or more. Many hotels offer their guests free Continental breakfast each morning, but here it's served in the top-floor Executive Club with views so mesmerizing, you might linger over your morning coffee past sunset. Each spacious suite has a separate living area, three phones, deep whirlpool tubs, and kitchenette stocked with cold beverages. Some units have washer-dryers. The major disadvantage is that, after work hours, there are few nearby dining options, so if you like to dine out, you might want to consider renting a car.

In the Middle of it All

The Executive Centre is smack dab in the middle of downtown Hawaii. Although not a "tourist" hotel, it is within walking distance from the State Capitol, Aloha Tower, and Chinatown. The rooms are floor-to-ceiling glass and the higher floors have incredible views of the city. A special plus is the very plentiful continental breakfast on the 40th floor. A hidden feature is a rather large pool and spa tub on the 11th floor of the commercial tower. If you don't have a rental car, the hotel is located at the hub of Oahu's public bus transit system. The system if very convenient, clean, and will take you anywhere on the island.
