Fodor's Review:
Due to recent renovations, this beach has seen a renaissance. Now bordered by a landscaped boardwalk, it's great for romantic walks any time of day. Check out the Kuhio Beach hula mound nightly at 6:30 for free hula and Hawaiian-music performances; weekends there's a torch-lighting ceremony at sunset. Surf lessons for beginners are available from the beach center here every half hour.
