Bodies of Water, Southeast O'ahu
Fodor's Review:
This slim spit is reached by a narrow residential road that dead-ends at the Paiko Lagoon State Reserve, which is off-limits to the public. However, in Hawai'i, all beaches are public to the high-water line, and there's a beach access pathway just a few houses before the road's end. Turn left when you get to the beach and find your spot near where the houses end. Secluded within the confines of the bay, private and quiet, this is a lovely place to spend a morning or afternoon swimming, snorkeling, reading, and dozing.
