¢-$$, Contemporary, Honolulu
Fodor's Review:
Named for the colonial-era Eastern & Orient Trading Co., this restaurant's decor recalls a bustling mercantile district in some Asian port. Like a merchant ship, the southeast Asian grill menu hops from Singapore to Korea, Japan to India. The Indonesian corn fritters are a must, as are the Burmese ginger salad and the silky-textured, smoky-flavored marinated Portobello satay. To match the unusual menu, the bar creates some unusual mixtures with infusions and fresh juices.
