$$-$$$, Contemporary, Honolulu
Fodor's Review:
Yes, the wee little cups of bouillion are there at lunch, and the popovers, but in every other regard, chef Douglas Lum's menu departs from the Nieman Marcus model, incorporating a clear sense of Pacific place. The veranda, open to the breezes and view of Ala Moana Park, twirling ceiling fans, and life-size hula-girl murals say Hawai'i. The popovers come with jam made from native poha berries -- a relative of the gooseberry -- and local fish are featured nightly in luxuriant specials.
